On behalf of Parks Law Firm, P.C. posted on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 A Texas high school community is mourning a great loss after a tragic collision occurred at the entrance to the school parking lot. Such areas have been the scenes of car accidents many times in the past, often resulting in serious injuries or fatalities. Sadly, two teenagers lost their lives in the recent collision. The victims were sisters. Reportedly, their mom was driving them to school. At some point, her car was hit by a logging truck. When a commercial vehicle is involved in a collision that results in injury or death to someone in another vehicle, the driver of the commercial truck and/or the employer may face full financial accountability for damages if a recovering victim or family of a deceased victim files a claim and proves in court that driver error or another form of negligence, such as lack of vehicle maintenance, was a causal factor in the collision.
